If you're thinking of visiting us for our Sunday Service, we have put together the following questions and answers so you know what to expect. If you have any questions that are not covered on this page, do feel free to get in touch and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
What time does your Sunday service start?
We start our meeting at 10.30am and it will finish around 12.00 noon. Then you are very welcome to join us for refreshments in the Dining Hall, but please feel free to leave when you need to.
What happens when I arrive?
You will be welcomed by one of our Connect Team. If you are a first time visitor you will receive a small bag of helpful 'goodies' - there is also one available for any children you may have with you.
If you have little children we have placed mats on the floor for them to be able to safely play on. We do not expect our little children to sit in silence, nor for parents to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed when their children are being "chatty". We are really happy for them to be free to be expressive! However... we would appreciate sensitivity from parents regarding the suitability and noise level of certain toys!
What happens during the service?
We usually have a time of worship at the beginning - and the focus is on God and who He is, and not ourselves. Once a month we take communion in smaller groups, we feel that doing it this way enhances our fellowship. During our worship we encourage corporate prayer (sometimes in silence and sometimes with people leading a prayer). Different folks may bring a scripture which helps us in our worship and our response to God. After this time the children move to their various groups and a message is given - which will normally last around 40 minutes. We aim to finish this part of our morning by 12.00noon
Do you have groups for the Children?
Yes we do. If you have children with you, then we have three main groups in the following age brackets: Creche (Pre-school), Kinetic (4-10's )and Kinetic Plus (11-15's). These classes start approximately 3/4 of an hour into our services. Please tell one of our members if you want to make use of the Children's groups and they will introduce you to the relevant Group leader who will let you know where they meet etc.
What happens after the service?
Most people stay for refreshments and chat for a while before heading home. This is a great time for us to get to know you and perhaps answer any questions you may have. Please don't feel you have to hang around. If you need to leave then that is absolutely fine! We look forward to seeing you another week!
Other practical questions.......
Where can I park?
We have plenty of free on-site parking. You can use the first car park you see on the left or find a space further around the back. You can then follow the signs to the Main Hall where we meet. Please do not use the playground immediately before the entrance unless there are mobility requirements.
Do you have Bibles available?
Yes, there are a few NIV bibles available. If you have not brought one with you, please ask a member of the Connect Team on your arrival if you would like to borrow one during the service.
Do you have baby-changing facilities?
Yes, this is situated in the toilet facilities accessed through the Dining Room. Please ask for directions!
Do you have disabled facilities?
If you need parking because of a disability then please find a space in the playground around the back immediately outside the Main Hall. This is for you and for those who are carrying equipment only. There is also a disabled toilet accessed through the Dining Room. All the doors suit wheelchair access. There are no steps needed to be used. Unfortunately, at the moment we do not have a facilities for the hard of hearing. There is no 'loop' system in operation in the school at present.
Can I arrange a meeting with one of the Church Leadership Team?
Yes of course you can, but if you can't get to see any of them after the service then please contact us and we will set this up for you.
