Church Leadership

 

 

gav__sue_webGavin & Sue Dixon - have been married since 1986 and they have one son, Mark.  They are both originally from Southend, and met in their local church youth group - sweet!  Gavin is the Lead Elder of King's Church. Sue helps oversee the various children’s groups and is on the Child Protection Team.  Sue teaches in a local primary School.

 

Both are experienced DIY-ers and good for negotiating the best deals on anything! In the past they have also spent around 9 years travelling around the UK and Europe leading evangelistic teams working alongside local churches. They have lived in numerous places but returned to Southend from Norwich..... and have also lived in Germany for a year. Ja - es war sehr schön!

 

 

HomeGroup Leaders

 

 

Roy & Linda Morgan - have been married since 1974 They are experienced HomeGroup leaders and excellent social event arrangers!  They put on a really quality BBQ! Roy works for a Christian Charities Services company in Loughton, and Linda works in a local Primary School.  Linda also helps lead a mid-week ladies group and is a member of the QUBE team.

 

 

Matt & Alison Lane - have been married since 2008! They met at a discipleship course in Manchester. Matt is from Southend and managed to persuade Alison to come back to Southend and marry him - amazing!


matt__alison They are also on the leadership team of QUBE.  Alison is a teacher in a secondary school and Matt is a mature (?) student at the University of  Essex (in Southend) doing a degree in early Years Education. He is also setting up a C.U. there.  Alison is pretty useful with a sewing machine & Matt is pretty useful with a paint brush!



 

 

Simon & Lisa Ford - share the leadership of a HomeGroup with Matt & Alison. Simon is now the full-time Project Director for Route One and Lisa works alongside him to enable this exciting new ministry and also is on the staff of a local Mums & Tots group. They have two boys - Joash and Keanan. Up until recently Simon has also been doing discos for childrens parties - cool ! "This one's going out for all you sugar high & hyperactive 8 year olds out there !"

THE QUBE


Gary Bunker  - has been married to Jennifer since 2005, and they have two daughters  - Eden and Eliana - and they are expecting another child later this year. Gary is an electrician with a local company, and Jennifer is a qualified mid-wife - handy ! Gary leads QUBE with Matt & Alison Lane and a team of around 12.

Alison Mayor - is a Manchester City supporter - thereby being a recipient of undeserved merit! Alison is part of the Finance Team and the kmac Management Team.
